Mission
1. Encourage and support youth in overcoming their fears in public speaking through a variety of events such as Tedx Youth and public speaking forums. The goal is to break communication barriers so that youth can be openly connected with a world of diversity.
2. Provide public speaking training scholarships to students in need of financial support.
3. Collaborate with local NPOs that help children with verbal and listening disabilities through various fundraising events. All proceeds go to support activities that allow the children to reconnect with their living communities.
Auction
In February of 2022, REconnect Foundation hosted a 1740-attendee fundraiser livestream: 5 student MCs auctioned courses and programs donated by 54 educational institutions, accumulating to over $20,000 in donation to BC family hearing resource society.
By adapting a Win-Win-Win-Win business model, our live charity auction benefitted educational institutes, students, volunteers, and deaf/hard of hearing charity organizations alike.
Hand-Print Banner
In collaboration with BCFHRS’ summer ‘mingle and play’ event, REconnect Foundation invited 50+ participating families to connect and interact through the collaborative process of creation. The end result was a vibrant hand-print painting, which has now claimed its space on BCFHRS center’s entryway wall, and was featured at BCFHRS’ 40 year anniversary celebration.

Christmas
Market
REconnect Foundation’s 850 member online marketplace is a social media platform for participating members to donate and purchase second-hand items. Through this online system, we’ve collected $30,000 within ten months of operation. In December of 2021, REconnect sold homemade snacks and donated crafts at a local christmas market event– funds were donated to BCFHRS, the largest not-for-profit organization in British Columbia serving children who are deaf and hard-of-hearing.
